I have a 3" cat, 3" muffler with dual 2.5" outlets. pipes coming out at the back. the cat and muffler are both magnaflow. it sounds good at idle but i think it sounds a little ricey when the rpms get real high.

any comments???

The noise level is good I think, like you actually know what gear ur in and shit...Never too loud that it gets annoying or anything of the sort.

Only change on mine is bigger y-pipe, free flow cat, and deleted pre-cat.

All I did was a chopped off the old y-pipe replaced with a 2.50 and no pre-cat...then added a magna-flow high flow race cat down the line, and a single in dual out flowmaster 40 series 2.25 to 3.50 out. the chrome tips are 8 1/2 long, so I get alot of sound outta them...

I'm going to change it up though, running dual tipped 3.50 outlets to the sides...

hope it sounds as good...

Thanks for the info Steve, it sounds like the perfect combo, I guess that bigger Y-pipe, and high flow cat, made a big difference as well. I'll hafta follow that plan in the future. I'm not one for larger tips, but Hey, it works here
