me doing a rev... couldn't run it all the way up cuz of neighbours liven next to me.

these are with the old setup of muffler with a duel catback with 5 feet of pipe from muffler. temp setup now is 1.3 feet of 3" dumped just behind axle... no vids yet still waiting on the C5 rollpan so i can run true duels and the exhaust will look just like a C5 vette.

I like the Super 40 a lot. I've only had it for about a week, but i'm really digging the tone. I used to run just a straight 40 series, and the Super 40 is deeper outside the cab, and a lot less resonance inside the cab.

Here's my junk. I'm currently running the stock exhaust up to the stock cat, 2.5" single in & out 14" long Magnaflow, with a 2.5" tailpipe. The motor is stock. IMO, the Magnaflow sounds like trash behind the 4.3 V6. Here's my lil tractors fart tube:

Re: Post Audio/Video Clips Here

A few people have asked me for a sound clip of the Hooker Maxflow
I run on my ride. It's 3" single in & out with 3" pipe from the cat
to the right under the bumper. I still don't have one, but the
closest I can get is from Hooker's site. These two clips are
close to what mine sounds like. They would be VERY close
if I had two more cylinders and duals. Of course the Ford
sounds somewhat different than a GM but if you'll just get
past that and imagine the Hooker with v-6 and one Maxflow
in 3", you'll get a really good idea of what a Maxflow sounds
like inside the car or truck and outside. HTH's.

http://www.holley.com/data/products/...nsidedrive.MPG
http://www.holley.com/data/products/...dletakeoff.MPG

Now I'm not going to try and BS anyone into thinking my tiny
v-6 sounds as good as this Mustang, but that's not the point.
I'm just trying to give others here an idea of the Maxflow's tone.
Any other member who runs one I think might agree.

The factory piping size is 2 1/4". As long as you're gonna get one, though, you might as well go 2 1/2". a little extra flow never hurt anyone.

I think it sounds pretty tough, my brother had a 14" with single 2.5" pipe on his 98 bravada and it also sounded real mean to me.

I have a ss too and I want to do that. That is what I want my truck to sound like. I had experience with the clips you had earlier with just headers. I had to put something on around here or I would have been pulled over fast because of the jerks they have around my job. I'm a woman that wants to have her dime sounding mean and not like a rice burner. I hate that sound.

There is basically zero difference between no cat and having one, I saw a recent magazine test in a tuner magazine comparing stock cat vs. aftermarket high flow vs. no cat and the difference between high flow and no cat was 1hp on the dyno. I'd go with 3" from the y pipe regardless of the tailpipe setup personally.
