Possible exhaust problem?

This morning i was driving on my way to work. My exhaust (flomaster 40 series) was sounding normal then all of a sudden it got really deep and had a deep rumble (almost like a v8). I am curious if anyone has any idea what this can be?!?! I was thinking maybe one of the pipes on my exhaust came loose or a hole in the muffler?

Thanks

Re: Possible exhaust problem?

you think i would know. lol Im at work so i cant go look right now. I got it custom done about 3 years ago. It just all of a sudden went from the normal sound to really deep and rumble. It almost sounds like my friends who doesnt have a muffler, so that makes me curious if somethin feel off or a whole. I dont care if somethin fell off or whole, just dont want my truck messed up.

Re: Possible exhaust problem?

i think something has fallen off. Holes don't "appear" in your exhaust they gradually show themselves so i doubt it would go from normal for ABSURD just like that. See if it came loose at the muffler or something

Re: Possible exhaust problem?

Thanks for the help guys. Went to the muffler shop last night. The pipe connecting the catalytic converter and muffler broke. So thats why it is so loud. and i also need a new catalytic converter. Glad its nothin major. Guy said i dont have to worry bout the muffler or anythin fallin off

No holes! Grats on figuring it out glad nothing fell into a pothole and ripped your entire exhaust system.
