o2 sensor

question the o2 sensor does it go in the catalyic conv. i want tod ditch the coverter can i just gut it out and keep i on there?

If you want to gut the cat. you can keep the O2 sensor and to eliminate it from throwing a code you can take a spark plug spacer and drill the center out and put it in to space your O2 sensor from the exhaust. The O2 sensor will still read the heat, but it won't throw a code for exhaust flow.

yeah i have done this in the past works great i used 2 of the spark aristors, spelling....you can find them in the help section of any parts store, i drilled the first one out so the 02 sensor whent in, then put the other one on and put it in after the cat, cel whent off like 4 miles down the rd. cel had been on for months before i did this.

I didn't have any luck with the spark plug spacer. I used two of them. I ended up just haveing my computer tuned.
