Muffler for custom exhaust.

I just bought a '97 s-10 and was plannin on gettin a new muffler and just having a shop make me a new exhaust that would flare out before the rear tire. I have heard to get spintech and overall I want to achieve a loud rumbly tone.
Thanks

Well, I think you're asking if Spintech is the way to go for an aftermarket muffler, yes? Then, Yes..get a Spintech. They have that nice "chambered" muffler sound without the "clangy-ness" at high rpm like Flowmasters. If loud isn't an issue, get yourself a Pro Street. If you want wacky loud, get a 3" Pro ShootOut, and if your looking for a more moderate sound level closer to the Flow delta 40s, go with the Sportsman.

I've got a Sportsman, and I love it. I always liked the sound that the various Flows I had gave me, but they always seemed to be missing a little, i don't know how to really describe it, "thickness", I guess, to the exhaust note at full throttle. The Spintechs have it in spades, and are only a couple bucks more than a comparable Flowmaster. And they actually, well, flow.
