Headers on airbagged dimes

So I'm getting ready to start putting my engine in my 95 S10. My engine is somewhat detailed, but my exhaust manifolds looks like ass. I found some headers, but I was wondering if headers will work on an airbagged truck that lays frame.

Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the headers I was thinking about running.

Re: Headers on airbagged dimes

Nice looking header set. I ran an Eldelbrock TES system on my lowered '84 Transam and never had any clearance issues. The Y-pipe tucked nicely. This is no guarantee that it will work by any means, but I would say that it is a strong possibility.

To give you an idea of the ground clearance in my Trans Am after I lowered it...I could hit a pop can lying on it side with the engine crossmember.

Yeah, I don't want to dent or bend the pipes with the control arms when I lay it out.

Re: Headers on airbagged dimes

The Edelbrocks will not be the way to go with a bagged truck, as the included larger Y pipe sits even lower than the factory Y. With a 3.5"/4.5" static drop and 26.5" tires, even I have trouble knocking the Y on tall curbs and speed bumps and such.

Re: Headers on airbagged dimes

BTW, I mentioned they hang lower than factory, but i failed to mention that they Edel Y does indeed hang below the frame. You could probably have it cut and made to fit, but at that point, you might as well get a nice set of JBAs or Gibsons, and have a custom Y made that'll tuck up closer to the front of the trans. The "Ti-Tech" coating doesn't last much past 10k miles. It kinda turns a powdery whitish hue on the manifolds, and the Y pipe just plain turned rusty orangish-brown. Chicago salty winters don't help much, I imagine, which wasn't really an issue for me, but I figure you're going for looks as well since you have a detailed engine bay.
