Re: Going Spintech
search 02 sensor and cat threads, you can space your o2 away from the cat with a pair of spark plug non fowlers and run a hollow cat, with no c.e.l
i was just lookin at the thread a couple days ago so its def there Edit: here it is http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f89/do...ulator-126774/ Last edited by Gimp : 04-26-2009 at 04:15 AM. |

Re: Going Spintech
You call Ron or Dave at Spin and you can have a custom one made if you want.
I had em make me up a Sportsman with 5 coils 2.50 in 2.25 dual out for a 100.00. It's out in the shed. I really like my Afterburner from Flowtech now but one thing about a Spin...they are built like a freakin' tank hands down ! |

Re: Going Spintech
I ordered two Pro shootouts today. I told the man that answered the phone I've converted over from Flowmaster. He laughed and said you won't regret it at all. Matter of fact you'll ask yourself why you didn't do this from the beginning. I'll have a new clip up next week. I just hope I can get a good quality sound since my truck is so damn loud. I may just do an idle, rev, rolling shot, then WOT.

Re: Going Spintech
I was thinking Pro Shootouts for my Chevelle. But I also want to run cutouts, so maybe a little mellower muffler would be better for my Chevelle.
Either way, it'll be dual spintech mufflers ![]() |

I told my parents next summer I'm going to buy a used zo6 wether they like it or not! Mom told me she would never allow a vette in the driveway...but you can pick up an 02 with 45k on ebay for like $16,500 all day long! I've seen several! Dude...its not even my truck or my mufflers and I am excited about you gettin em! |

Re: Going Spintech
Just so happens that I got my tune in this morning! I had one on my first truck and I think it helped more on this truck...prolly due to the fact that I have light weight wheels on it..cuz our zq8 wheels w/o tires on em weigh 18lbs a piece! The 18's I had on my last truck weighed roughly 35-40lbs a piece! When I first put it on though the truck idled really low and when I would put it into reverse it would die and when I would put it into drive it would die also! But I just drove it around for a few minutes and let it sit in the driveway for a few and it's good! Much faster than stock! And the SES light is gone! Had the cat delete done on it so now I can buy my mufflers and get ready for my true duals! Think you could get some pics of the underside of your truck so I could show my exhaust guy can get an idea! He says I cant do an x-pipe and dual mufflers under these trucks! hahahaha |

Re: Going Spintech

Agreed. That's what I really like about these mufflers. At idel/light driving they are mellow, but once you floor it the sound is aggressive. |

Re: Going Spintech
lol Hey thanks man. I'm glad I got you wanting this setup. Go show these pics to an exhaust man and now tell him you can't run true duals. I highly recommend these mufflers and not anything else.
I'll get a video of the truck in day light rolling away. These mufflers sound crazy when WOT. A lot more aggressive than Flows by far. My truck ain't really got a good roll and go. From a dead stop it'll plant you in the seat. I started to get another video but didn't want to test my luck. i know I will be heard. lol |

Re: Going Spintech
I wont hook for quite a while cuz i'm just throwing the 5.3 in there with intake, heads, cam and a tune. I wont hook cuz also cuz im not going to do the rear end for a while after...just drag radials. An ls1 with a blower would be soooooooo sweet! That would be soooo fast man! But very expensive! Do you have anything done to the rear? |
