Exhaust Manifold Problems
I have posted this problem before on this site, but I have to bring it back into discussion. My 97 s10 with the 2.2, has a problem with the down pipe flange. The two bolts holding it to the exhaust manifold keep coming loose. I've tried just about everything from locktite(sp), different types of bolts and numerous amounts of gasket sealants. So now I'm contemplating buying a header. Does anyone have any experience with the pacesetter header or any of the other cheapo ones off of ebay.

Re: Exhaust Manifold Problems
try the locking header bolts from percys at summit...50 bucks for the black ones 58 for the shiny stainless steel ones...i just bought my dad a set for his camaro because we've been through 3 sets of header gaskets in less than 600 miles...lol...haven't drove the car with them on yet, because we haven't put them all on...but they seem like they could do the trick...it tells you to tighten the bolts to a certain torque and then torque the lil ****ers inside and when you do that to an extent you can hear it hitting so then i stop...but even so i couldnt tell ya how they work because we're not done yet...

Re: Exhaust Manifold Problems
Yea I think I've just about had it with the factory manifold, I've been bidding on an OBX header for my truck, but thank you both for the input.
