dual 2 1/2" with xpipe
Finally got a new exhaust system on the truck to help the motor breath a little better. I installed russel stainless fuel line from the filter foward to move the fuel lines out of the way of the duals. Then notched the transmission crossmember on the driver side to make way for the new pipe. The new exhaust is 2 1/2" from the header flanges all the way back into a custom x pipe and two spintech super prostreet mufflers.

Re: dual 2 1/2" with xpipe
Oh and it was $579 from summit racing for the kit comes with the cam 1.6 aluminum roller rockers new valve springs seals and retainers. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...2&autoview=sku I was reading on a few forums that it gives you approx. 44 rwhp which isn't bad for the money 44 Rwhp for 579 seems like a bargin.

Re: dual 2 1/2" with xpipe
rockstar, i was just wondering, and I certainly don't mean to be a smartass, I'm truly wondering..doesn't the dual in/dual out muffler negate the need for the X pipe ahead of it?
If I'm not mistaken, I've seen several setups where the dual in/out mufflers is used as not only the muffler but a balance pipe/chamber as well. Unless, maybe you were planning to split into two mufflers later down the road? again, just wondering out loud.. |

Re: dual 2 1/2" with xpipe
black xblazer..
no yo are correct..... ..but.. i didnt want to get that more high pitch'd muffler sound.. from the v6.. tryin to stay away from that.. and i still get it. if i jump on it.. which i hate and will have to play with.. so i wanted to join the exhuast again. .before want through the muffler.. so when it it the mufler had more of an even flow.. .. u get that.. lol idk if my told my explanation right.. but..? |
