Delta flow 40

I just put a 40 series delta flow on my 2001 4.3L s10. I am somewhat disappointed with the volume. According to flowmaster and their chart, the delta flow is quieter than the normal 40, but I think it's too quiet. It runs otherwise stock pipes. Any suggestions for improving the sound without doing something like headers? High flow cat perhaps?

What confounds me is that I have a 84 with the 2.8L that also has a flowmaster (unsure what series) and it sounds a LOT better than the 4.3 does.

I been thinking of a Super 44, wonder how they sound. I like the sound of spintech's but they don't sell them here and would cost alot to ship over.

Re: Delta flow 40

original 40 series ftw...

i have an 80 series (cross flow) on my camaro, and i love my exhaust note. but given that my camaro has twice the ponies of an s10, with headers and a 3" exhaust.

if your pipes are stock, def just get an original 40 series.
