Can't cant my f'ng exhaust to quit rattling.
It's made noise since I had an exhaust shop put on the muffler. They just clamped it so I figured that's why it was rattling. I took off the clamps and welded it. Still makes noise.
I gutted the cat, ran a pipe through it(welded on the ends), and welded the heat shield to the cat in a dozen places. I don't see how it could still be the cat either. The exhaust doesn't hit the body or frame anywhere. It rattles at idle or if I have it in too high of a gear. I'm getting pissed what can I do? I can't determine where the noise is coming from exactly. |

check to see if your exhaust around the cat is not touching or sitting close to the double hanger in front of the cat. that's where i found mine after an exhaust shop did mine.

Cut your precat off with a sawzall, shake it, if it rattles theres your problem, gut it and reweld. Happened to me, I destroyed my exhaust before I figured it out.
