Can't cant my f'ng exhaust to quit rattling.

It's made noise since I had an exhaust shop put on the muffler. They just clamped it so I figured that's why it was rattling. I took off the clamps and welded it. Still makes noise.

I gutted the cat, ran a pipe through it(welded on the ends), and welded the heat shield to the cat in a dozen places. I don't see how it could still be the cat either.

The exhaust doesn't hit the body or frame anywhere. It rattles at idle or if I have it in too high of a gear.

I'm getting pissed what can I do? I can't determine where the noise is coming from exactly.

check to see if your exhaust around the cat is not touching or sitting close to the double hanger in front of the cat. that's where i found mine after an exhaust shop did mine.

Cut your precat off with a sawzall, shake it, if it rattles theres your problem, gut it and reweld. Happened to me, I destroyed my exhaust before I figured it out.
