Bolts don't wanna break loose?

Trying to change out lead pipe, lower bolt on manifold flange is a pain to get to... but the nuts on the cat just wont budge... any ideas? impact possibly?

Try to tighten it a lil first to break it loose, then once its broke, back it out.

yeah as stated above you should use a torch if you have one(oxy-acetelyne, the propane torches usually can't get it hot enough to expand away from the bolt/stud). Heat the flange, not the bolt, until red hot then your bolt should come right out.

Did you pull the wheel well?
Both my bolts on the catalytic converter busted off. Drill them and put a nut/bolt back in.

I snapped all 6 of the bolts on the y-pipe off. When I pulled the exhaust manifold off, I hammered the studs out and replaced them. Exhaust manifold studs came right out of the head no problem.

Took like 1.5 hr because I didn't jack the car up high enough:

Try soaking them with PB Blaster overnight. Has worked for me in the past!!!

put it on a rack and took impact tools to them got them loose, changed the lead pipe like pic above i gave it the finger afterwords also
