Who's going? what's the deal? is it worth checking out?

I've never been to a show like this (just local stuff), and it's only about 2 hours from where I live and I have some friends in Tampa who live right by there who are interested in going with me. I've heard alot of mixed opinions about the show, but since I've never been to one like this..I think it might be cool to check out.

Anyone on here going? Anyone been before?

Mini Madness, Inc. Presents Slamfest 09 to be held October 17-18, once again at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. Our 18th annual show features new classes, a burnout contest, swap meet and bikini competition. Pre registration is $40 and day of show is $50. Preregistration is open. You can print out a form from the website. . . www.minimadness.com. Get your stuff in early. . . saves me lots of work and makes me not grouchy. We don't want a grouchy Callie, do we?

slamfest is huge. all different styles of rides. deff worth the two hour drive. i go every year

Ill be there again this year mine and my dads '72 c-10 won best of show fullsize, and it was a great turnout so this will be my 2nd time around 4 hour drive is totally worth it esp. If I get some drag footage in again this year haha (bringing my 01 siverado not the 72 c-10 its not rly the draggin type)

$50 is the going rate for registration for most shows across the country of our size. We have not raised any participant, spectator or vendor prices in several years. We have tried to make it reasonable for everyone to attend. Unfortunately, the Florida State Fairgrounds keeps raising their prices for us to use the venue.
