yet another amazed Zaino fan!

being a black truck owner, I have never been happy with the paint. Also, knowing how thin OEM finishes are, I have stayed away from mechanical (other that the lower speed random orbitals). After trying various swirl removers, cleaners, polishes, glazes and waxes, I bought ZFX, Z5, Z2, Z6. Used them this weekend after using mothers clay bar. By far the best finish I have ever had (bought the truck 2years old, and it looks better than the chevy dealer had it) it had heavy swirls and there are only light ones visible in intense sunlight. Used 3 coats of Z5 and just 1 Z2 with Z6 between each coat. will get pics up soon.

A GOOD professional can get a better finish with a good buffer and the right compounds and polishes and glazes, but for average joe, I am convinced there is no way to get a smoother, glossier finish, and average joe can't come close with a buffer. Can't be easier to work with. Biggest tip to follow is to wet the applicator with z6 before you put the polish on it, it helps spread much easier. I used a total of about 1.5 ounces of polish. mix it in 1/2 ounce increments so you don't waste any (once the ZFX is in, its good for 12hr)

took me a long time to suck it up and buy, but its not that expensive compared to the shelf of junk I cleared in the garage that didn't work.

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

Not only does it look great, but the main reason I use it for is the durability.
It has been tested and tested and Zaino by far is the most durable product on the market..., it is almost bullet proof compared to other protectants.

I realize there is a lot of marketing and advertising with greatly inflated claims, however, I have never had one last as long as the advertising.

That is another thing I like about Zaino, over-delivering on their products!!!
Sal makes no "claims", but lets the performance and customers speak for the product.

I am a competitor to Zaino, but I am also honest when it comes to products..., Zaino is definately more durable than the other protectants, has UV protection, easy on, easy off, great service and fast shipping..., it is hard to even come close!!

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

yup, missed the one step from the shop into the garage, and broke my foot. I only went up and down that step a million times in the past couple months getting the race cars ready. Only have 3 more weeks in the cast though at least they used the fracture boot instead of a hard cast

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

Looks great! I've been wanting to try Zaino for a while now, just haven't gotten around to ordering it. One reason why is because I don't have a darker colored vehicle to use it on. I shall find a use for it though, I'd love to try it.

And not meaning to hijack your thread, but I see a Micro Midget in the garage. Is it a 600, 1000+? We used to run karts and they used to run the micros at the track too. Since then we've moved up to Sprint Cars, we run a 360 Spec Sprint and a regular 360. I've got pics somewhere, I'll try to find em. Also, where are you located?

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

I have it applied to my white truck, it really reflects!!
I use Zaino for the protection and durability..., looks to me are secondary and subject to personal taste..., however, it sure does meet both criteria for me

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

ACE2790: no buffer, just all cotton applicator pad, and USA cotton towel to wipe off once it hazes. Its pretty hard to screw up if you follow their diections.

LikeaRock: its a 250. my brother and I both run them. Heres a pic It explains why my truck doesn't have more done to it $$$. We are in WA north of seattle

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

Is that how the races usually finish, the 92 in front of the 29? (I can't remember which number is yours and which is Eric's)

Looks good B, I polish on my Black 2000 on the time, a PC with Poorboys, Einzett, and some Klasse AIO then the Zaino.

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

Cool. I hot lapped a friends 250 once, was pretty fun. I liked the acceleration of the karts better, but it was a smoother ride which was nice.
Do you live near Skaggit (sp)? They might have a Spec class for sprints. It's fairly afforable to run, engines don't cost too much, you're limited to a 2 BBL carb, etc. They do put on one hell of a show..
We started running a regular injected 360 this year. We planned on running the Spec more, but once you get going they cost about the same to run week-to-week.

The Spec is something to look into in the future if it ever comes your way

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

yeah, skagit's sportsmans are kind of a joke though, still injected but iron block/heads. There are a lot of people in the class who can afford it but can't drive it. I would be more interested in a full size sprinter if we had some non-wing action up here. after running the Kruseman's driving school down at Ventura CA, there is nothing better. acutally most spectators that have been to our track (Deming speedway), prefer the mini sprints. less dust, closer racing, cheaper beer

Eric's the 92, he has had some tough luck so far, but we are still second and fith in points

Re: yet another amazed Zaino fan!

Your still racing out at Deming on Friday nights right? I wasn't sure if you guys already started but my son and I are going to come check it out. Last year we planned a couple times but it rained everytime so we bagged it.

Yeah, we have to run iron block and heads, 2 bbl carb, there's a limit on cam duration, etc. They can still push a good 5-550 hp with methanol. The only really competitive class is the one we race normally in Antioch, CA. The other two or three tracks that run them are all oakies with old chitty cars
We do enjoy the wingless though. That's one reason we bought the Injected motor and got a roller for it, so we can run some of the 360 SCRA races near us. We might have a 410 built so we can run with USAC, but that's a bit out of our budget constraints will hold us from that.
We've learned these things aren't cheap!
