Re: yellowing

Happens alot with older cars/trucks, you can never get it perfectly clear again but you can make it better. They have this stuff called never dull at discount auto parts and it says its used on metal stuff but works great on this....or youy can try waxing it REALLY REALLY good. It makes it look better but only temporary. It will go back unless u keep waxing/polish it.

Use this

Or wet sand with 2000 grit sandpaper and the buff and polish.

Some plastic headlight covers yellow after a few years, including those on 87-93 Mustangs. To correct it, get some 400 grit sand paper, sand the covers, and use McGuire's #7 polishing compound with a buffer until you're smooth and seeing clearly.

Re: yellowing

IMO 400 grit is too ruff, you have deep scratches when done. At least start with a 600-800 grit

Re: yellowing

And what if the yellowing is on the inside of the lense, like my clear tail lights?

Re: yellowing

the yellowing on the tails is probably cause they used cheap plastic w/o UV stabilizers. if so, it's yellow all the way through
