Winter Time Cleaning
Looking for some advice to help clean my truck quickly during the winter.
First big thing of course is salt, I'm basically looking for something I can run through my pressure washer to clean it off, as it's cold and I don't want to spend time washing it. I use vinegar on my work boots to get the salt out, would this work on the truck? Second is grease from work, chassis grease to be exact. I got some on my cloth seat, how do I get this out? Any other quick tips? |

Re: Winter Time Cleaning
I always tape over my door locks when washing the truck in the winter, so the damn things don't freeze solid. As far as the grease and salt I don't know?

Re: Winter Time Cleaning
Id wax it now before it gets to cold. It helps keep the salt off your truck a little bit, but not much. Wouldnt recommend vinigar. Umm if you know someome with a garage thats warm and its big enough take it by there and use a hose and rinse it off good. Then take a shammy and wipe the truck down good, that should get most of it.

Re: Winter Time Cleaning
I run my xtreme through the automatic car wash. The one that i go to doesn't have tracks it uses sensors or something so im not worried about messing up my bumper or side skirts. It costs me 6 bucks each time but it does an underbody spray with rust inhibitor, high power wash, high power rinse, then cleat coat polysealant or something like that and then a spot free rinse and then it has a blow dryer at the exit. I've used it a couple times. I go there about every sunday to get the salt and shit off. It does an awesome job, actually these pics are just after I went to the exact wash im talking about. It doesn't use brushes which is really good. As far as self wash brushes ive used it once or twice on my vehicle but i always spray it out with the high pressure washer first.
