Window Tint

Hey, I'n looking into tinting my window on my truck. Is it better to use that film stuff you buy on like a roll, and put it on yourself. Or get it done professionally at a shop? And what's the average prices?

Oh ya, I have a reg. Cab.

And can you tint the frong window? That you look outta? or no?

Re: Window Tint

My suggestion would be to get it done professionally. I know too many people who've tried it and screwed it up. Tinting your windsheild as far as I know is illegal.

Re: Window Tint

Get it done by a pro, nothing worse than a bad tint job, which you are forced to look at everyday.

It shouldnt be much, Side and back window on my reg cab was $89 for %15 tint.

You can tint the front window, but it is illegal and not a wise thing to do.

Re: Window Tint

I got my reg cab done professionally for $110 no tax. Sides at 20% Rear at 5% and a 6inch 5% strip at the top of the windshield. Excellent job, lifetime warranty. Just ask when you get it done if it is a dye based tint, or metallic based tint. Dye based tints fade to purple, metallic based tints don't. I ;ove my tint

Re: Window Tint

I got mine done at a shady shop who won't honor their lifetime warranty. I'd try it yourself if you are accurate with a cutter.

Re: Window Tint

The tint you get at Pep Boys is low quality and usually turns purple after a while.

The pro's use a much better film
