window decal glue removal?

I noticed one day that there use to be a decal on the rear window of my truck. When ever I clean it, it seems to go away. When the window gets dusty I can clearly read what it said. What is the best product to try to remove it permently? I'm getting tired of seeing "HOLD ON" every time I look in my rear view mirror. Thanks!

Actually alcohol on a towel & a razor blade will work the best on windows. It will never re-appear. And it is the cheapest. Ever had the inside stickers, that when you remove them they smell like #$&^@&(!!

Re: window decal glue removal?

Well I tried goo gone and it worked well on the decals the dealership put on,but the one that bothered me the most still remains. In fact when I used it another old decal appeared just under the other. I rubbed so hard to try and get them off with no success. If I used goo gone with a buffer do you think that might work? And I did try with a razor blade aswell with no success.

use some lighter fluid....you know, the cheap shit in the squirt bottle.......NOT charcoal lighter fluid...but just like zippo lighter fluid....works GREAT for any kind of adhesive removal.....just squirt some on a paper towel, and rub away......gets it off pretty quick too...

I'll give it a try this week some time. It's just really odd how it doesnt want to come off, and you can only really see it if the window is dusty or has water spots on it.
