Whoa... Home Depot replacements?...
I've been polishing some stock aluminum rims and want to go the Eastwood compound route. But I don't want to order online.
The two step process that consists of... 12.75 oz. tube of Tripoli Compound - $4.99 ![]() For general cutting of all non-ferrous metals (aluminum, brass, etc.). Mild cutting action. Use with Spiral Buff or Ventilated Flap Buffs. and... 16 oz. tube of White Rouge Compound - $5.99 ![]() Primarily a coloring compound to produce a brilliant mirror-like finish. For all metals. This is the final step before plating. Use Loose Section or Canton Flannel Buff. Can I get this stuff at Home Depot or somewhere else? Will it be cheaper than EastwoodCo? |

I ordered those compounds and some buff from Eastwood and i didn't see any difference in those compounds to the turtle wax rubbing compounds you can get at most auto parts stores.
I've also had absolutely no problems ordering from Eastwood, they'll also give you good discounts on future orders once you make that initial purchase. |
