white flecks on hood
I got these white hair-like flecks in the paint of my hood, they are between 1/8 and 1/4" long, I was wondering if using a clay bar would get it out. Am I going to need to get the hood repainted? I also have some bird crap stains in the paint from the previous owner(they didn't exactly get them off in a timely manner)

Re: white flecks on hood
Get some heavy duty clay from an auto paint supply store that's made for removing paint overspray. Use lots of detailing spray both on the car and on the bar. Mold the clay to the palm of you hand and use half a bar at a time. Keep folding it over the dirty part as you go and flatten it out again.
As for the etched in bird poo, you'll have to polish that away. Meguiar's ScratchX works pretty well for hand application but you have to put some muscle behind it. Ideally you would want to use an buffer. |

Clearcoat is cracking, it'll get worse. It will need to be sanded and have a new clear put over it
