When i get bored....

I polish random stuff on my truck. but i wasn't bored enough to spend hours polishing something. so instead of polishing something on my truck, i polished a truck....sorta....

I got a s10 key chain from SD 4 weeks ago and i was happy with it, but today i decided to do something different that no one has done with theirs yet (as far as i know).

Well if you haven't guessed yet i polished it. yeah i still use it as a key chain and it will probably get scratched up again 5 minutes later but either way this looks sweet

and was alot of fun polishing a "mini" mini truck.

If you are wondering what I used, I used Blue Magic Metal Polish Creme.

sorry if the pics are blurry, but you get the idea how a mirror finish this is, also if your at the right angle it blends in with the counter top very well.

Just thought i'd share.

::EDIT:: if i get bored enough ill polish my valve cover too. Ill post pics of the process if i ever get the chance to.

i used a 2" polishing wheel (my mom is a dentist and when they upgraded all their equipment she gave me this tiny bench grinder with a 3" grinding stone and 2" polishing wheel.)

I could have done 100% by that little bench grinder but i was bored so i did it mostly by hand.

Comparison shot

the one on the left, that thing is like 40 watts

and you can easily stop it by hand.

BTW: Does anyone know where i could buy a bigger polishing wheel about 6". (from a store) i would love to have a more powerful and softer wheel for bigger projects.

when i get sick..... well you guessed it, for the past 2 days i was sick and bored so i decided to polish the good O'l SD key chain

but.... this time instead of giving you crappy pics from a pathetic 2.1 MP camera, i give you new high res pics from my new 7.2 MP camera with 3X optical zoom

when there are high res pics there comes high res defects

. last time i polished the key chain it was brand new, this time its about a month or so old so there is alot of dents and scratches that wont just simply buff out without some sanding.

the pics are kinda big so 56K is a no.
