wheel film

after i bought my truck, i notice that a wheel wasn't shiny. there is some kind of film on it. I've tried Mcquires Hot Rims and that doesn't do justice. Is there anything else that might bring back the shine? Or is it maybe stripped of the shine for good? If so, good excuse to by some better rims. I have the stock ones now.

Re: wheel film

IF it is a film than it may have been coated this way from the factory to protect the rim......youll need an acid product to remove this...
