Re: wheel cleaner/polishe

What type of wheel?? For and chrome or clear coat wheel. Use wheel acid if there is any stains, or heavy brake dust. This will also clean out the back side of the wheel to make them look new again.

For any wheel with out a clear coat, a raw wheel such as billet, or wheels with bad finishes(clear is coming off, chipped chrome etc) use a non acid cleaner and a scrub brush. Then you can just soap them up like the truck itself.

Also, when using wheel acid, go back over the wheel with a non acid based cleaner to deactivate the acid. Even though you rinse it off, some will still be there and will keep working as time goes on.

Yeah, you don't really polish out chrome rims.

Re: wheel cleaner/polishe

Since they're brand new, I highly suggest throwing a wheel sealant on them now while they're still clean. Then, just take care of them w/ simple soap and water Reapply the wheel sealant as you would w/ any wax. This is what I use on my truck and my car.
Wheel Sealant

yea, just use a foam applicator pad. Apply 2 or 3 coats the first time, then when you reapply, 1 coat is fine. So you wipe it on the entire wheel, let it sit for a few, then buff off. You can even apply to all the wheels first, then go back to buff off. I love the stuff, makes cleaning soo much easier when doing standard washes.
