what pad?
what pad color should i use for applying a wax? white, black, blue?
and same question for 3M Perfect-It 3000 compound. im thinking a green or orange pad for the compund and a black or blue for the wax. am i close? i need an answer within like 3hrs. thanks a bunch. I guess I'm a little slow and couldnt get to your answer w/ in 3 hours..
If you're talking about lake country pads, then you would want to apply wax with either black or blue. Both will be fine. I tend to use black though. Your white lake country pad should be used for light, finishing polishes.And yes, you will need a new 5" backing plate as well. Buffer Pads & Accessories |

ok, thanks for the help and its still in time. i love unpredictable people. well it just came in today and its got a white pad on it. would that be ok to use or is it just going to **** shit up?? ill be order new pads soon anyway, just want to make sure.

The white pad that comes on a pc isnt really worth a damn honestly. Its ok if you wanted to put a microfiber bonnet on there, but thats about it. You wont need a new counterweight, the one the pc comes with is fine. That starter kit would be great. Has everything you would need to do some polishing and apply waxes/glazes/sealants, etc.
