what is the best medicine for.....

grimy bedliners......i have alot of nasty shit in my bediliner...and i can get on my hands and scrub the hell out of it withcar wash, and once it dries its still there....i was thinkin take my tailgate off, and just spray some greased lightning or somethin in there and scrub it with a mop, and then rinse it out, and then whatever gets on my rollpan or whatever just wash it off really fast and throw a coat of wax on it, gonna wax the whole truck anyways...but i wanna put it in a lil local charity show in a few weeks, and last show i entered, i was sittin at the show, and right before i got judged i took some aerosol armorall and sprayed in there, and i couldn't hardly get it out, everytime i'd rinse the bed, it streaked up the rollpan to hell and back, so i wanna try to keep it sorta sanitary...and not greasy or nothin...but my bedliner is really rough textured..so alot of shit gets caught in it...like the wash mitt strings and stuff...so what do you guys think....

the plastic bedliner or the spray-in? spray in has something you can buy at your local paint shop that wipes in there to remove anything. plastic... the armorall dealy is good for the quick fix. tire dressing also works great on both but was told never to use the dressing on the spray in but it didnt hurt it.

Re: what is the best medicine for.....

go get a gallon of simple green and mix it really high concentrate, pour it on there and let it sit for an hour or two, then spray it out. That will take care if it. Next time you want it to shine get an interior cleaner or tire spray that has NO silicone in it and it wont streak like that. To keep from getting it too grimy try using some armor all type wipes (but not armor all....it has silicone). You can also spray it with pam or wipe it with vegetable oil. Want a really good tip for keeping your wheels clean when you drive to a show? Spray them down with pam before you leave and you will be able to wipe the dirt and brake dust right off them with a towel!! Works every time. Good luck!

Re: what is the best medicine for.....

find a fried with a pressure washer

and spray the hell out of it

spray a little purple power or any other mild degreaser in there while your spraying

you probably want to wet down the whole outside of the bed too, just so no degreaser sits on the paint

give the whole thing a good coat of wax after
