What is a good cleaner for a plastic dash?

A buddy of mine says that Armorall is bad for plastic dashes. Does anyone know of a better cleaner?

Many of those cleaners have oil in them to make the trim look glossy. They have a tendancy to collect dust and over time if not wiped down will fade and possably crack those pieces. Always try to use a water based protectant. If you want shiney then use lemon pledge, but make sure you wipe it down. Old school, but works. There are a lot of products out there. Check www.autogeek.net.

My wife had a 01 cavalier and 6 months later her dash cracked because she used armor all. I personally like TURTLE WAX 2001. Use it on the plastic, rubber, vinyl etc etc.

fiberglass and paint on mine, protects it pretty good. Not sure the sanding I done was good for it though.

303 aerospace protectant. Probably the best out there imo.
