Weird side glass problem

When my windows frost up, there is some weird design that shows up in my rear quarter right side glass. It's on the inside, and I can't get rid of it. I scraped with a razor blade, cleaned with Goof Off and Windex and nothing works. If you run your finger over it, you can't feel anything, and the window isn't scratched. There is nothing there, but this stupid thing keeps coming back. My Blazer has factory deep tinted glass. Could maybe something have happened when they tinted the glass? It's not a major problem, but it's annoying as hell. Thanks.

Re: Weird side glass problem

sounds like at one time it had some sort of sticker on the ouside of the glass... and over the years of the sun hitting it, probly faded the tint less where the sticker was at... thats probly affecting it. i couldnt think of anything else that would do that.

Re: Weird side glass problem

Cerium oxide will most likely get rid of it. Its a polishing compound that can be used for removing scratches and hard water stains. Might have to call around to a few glass shops to find it. I had tinted flames up my passenger side of the windshield until the police made me remove them. Every time the windows fogged up you could see the out line of them.

Re: Weird side glass problem

sometimes an auction or car lot will write on the outside of a window and once its removed it will show up in "ghost", but you said its on the inside so..........
