Waxing the Stripes

At a local detail custom shop in town the manager use to use way on the strips he put on cars as well as the banner's them all being Vinyl does anyone eles use light wax on the stripes to keep them shiney he always reccomended it but i like the input on what you do.

Just wax them like you would the rest of your vehicle. It will keep them nicer for a lot longer. Just make sure to go down the edge with a towel / fingernail / etc to remove the wax.

Yea I know it was late and i just got in from work when I posted it should have read like this. dont use a fingernail to remove the wax from the sides, just use a terry cloth
your fingernail will push some wax under the vinyl and eventually it will start to peel up
but yes you can wax them

If your stripes were installed correctly, a fingernail isnt going to push anything under them. Of course I am talking about running your fingernail verticle, not horizontally. I have done it for years, even along pinstipping with no adverse effects.

im not saying it for sure is going to hurt them
but it would suck if it did
so i would just be safe and use the towel
