Wax- Liquid or Paste? Which do you prefer?

Lets hear it. Liquid wax or the good old pasty caranuba wax? I prefer paste because I believe it goes on thicker and stays there longer.

I have only tried the white liquid type. Does the paste give it more of a shine or what?

Personally I think it does. Caranuba wax gives my indigo a really deep shine. I also found that Nano leaves behind swirl marks, where once the caranuba hazes over it comes right up with no residue left behind.

Only thing with the caranuba is you cannot get it on your plastic. On things like textured surfaces, it will turn them white and it is a real pain to remove.

Re: Wax- Liquid or Paste? Which do you prefer?

I have 3 waxes rights now, Meg's NXT liquid wax, Pinnacle Soveran paste wax, and Meg's #16 paste wax, so I would have to say I prefer to use the paste by hand and if i'm using the PC I like to use the liquid. They all look good.

I like the paste. It's easier to control and I think has a better shine. I use the meguiar's gold class, not top of the line shit but works fine for a 17 year old truck. Today I used polishing compound and the wax, that thing is so smooth and quite reflective

I use paste wax every couple of months and liquid after a wash every week or two or three.

Re: Wax- Liquid or Paste? Which do you prefer?

Hmm, I never thought of doing that. Seems like a good idea. After all I do wax mostly for the shine! Maybe I will try some of the liquid stuff for the in between waxes.
