Not to sound too stupid, but washing it normally takes it off. Probably have to scrub though, like use the brush at the car wash, or use a rag or somthing. Then make sure to dry it with a chamoise or a towel.

Hard water spots will come off with a Mothers brand clay bar kit, windows and paint, I used one on my 96, it also makes the paint smooth as glass after a coat of wax.

Cirium oxide from a glass shop or Bon Ami will take off the water spots and polish the glass. Do not use it on the paint...

Yeah, be sure to wash the inside and outside of the windows when you wash your truck.

I use newspapers on the inside.

Usually, just a damp cloth works... not too wet, but wet enough to remove the spots.

Newspapers do the trick on the inside though.

if u have those really bad water spots on your glass, get steel wool (not scotch brite) just the plain steel wool and oven cleaner and put oven cleaner on there and scrub with the steel wool, it works wonders.

Re: water spots on truck and windows/

I've seen many S10's w/ this prob. Most the time either Bon Ami or a clay bar will cure the spots. I've also had another experience w/ my s10. The "spots" appeared to be on the exterior but were actually between the glass. What I mean is that the glue on the safety layer had actually caused this "water spot" appearance. I've seen this on lots of cars but haven't heard or seen this on an s10, until now. Final cure, A big f'n rock! $50 deductable. Done deal!

Hard water spots are a common problem caused by the chemicals used in tap water. The most effective way I've found to avoid spotting is to dry your vechical immediatly after washing.

Re: water spots on truck and windows/

Another good reason to dry your vehical afterwards is that if you wash your vehical during the day the water droplets left on your vehical act as a magnifier causing pits in your paint which becomes really noticable on darker colors.

Man...I get well water sprayed on my truck all the time, and just full of nice spotting minerals, and if you just spray it it won't come off. But if you use the brush at the car wash it comes right off. I don't think i'd want to drink the water you guys get on your trucks, is it even clear? haha...

make sure you use #00000! i used something heavier once, and it focked my windhshield up .

If you do scratch it using something else, use sirium oxide powder and it'll remove minor scratches.
