Water spots on chrome
Sometimes when I wash my truck and dont dry my 20's fast enough they get water spots on them and it is a s.o.b to get off. Is there anything the I could put on them so it doesnt happen or is there something I could use to get it off easily?

Re: Water spots on chrome
werd..Use a wet towel to run back over the wheels, then dry...But using wax will allow the water to bead up and run off the wheels..I do mine every month.

Re: Water spots on chrome
Windex then wax. You can also use coke & foil. It will get all of the crap off of chrome without scratching it & looks better than your basic chrome cleaners too.

Re: Water spots on chrome
Get a bottle of distilled water or window cleaner with distilled water in it, and clean your wheels individually taking your time after every car wash.. Soap and water can really only be expected to get bulk dirt/grime off of wheels. Waterspots contain small contaminants that only a sterile cleaner can take care off. You can't clean residue - with a product that leaves residue behind.

Re: Water spots on chrome
if you cant dry them fast enough get out your leaf blower and use it to blow all the water off/out of them works like a charm

Re: Water spots on chrome
It works awsome on chrome bumpers & trim. It will clean it better than any chrome cleaner can think of. I would only do it on bumpers or large chrome pieces other than wheels. It will actually take off surface rust, grime, etc. A lot of miths with Coca-cola are nothing more than that, BUT this is one that is a fact & works great. Buy a 2 Liter of Coke. Get some Reynolds foil. Pour the Coke on the bumper or just pour it on the foil & wadd it into a loose ball, & scrub. It does not scratch it & removes all that crap. Now spray off with water, then wash it & put some wax over it. It will Bling! Dont believe me....try it.

Re: Water spots on chrome
ya it was actually proven on MythBusters...that silly show on the discovery channel...they loosely wadded a ball of foil, poured the pop on, and "scoured" it....they said it worked better than the chrome polish even...they even explained some chemical reaction that occured but ill be damned if i remember the explanation..heh, try it...if it doesnt work, you got yourself a beverage
