Re: Water deflectors

I rolled the crap off with my thumb and then used paint thinner on a rag to get the rest off.

Re: Water deflectors

Either use your finger or some fishing line/dental floss to get the heavy stuff off, and then a small amount of paint thinner on a clean rag to get the rest.

I wouln't use a pressure washer, thats just looking for trouble.

Re: Water deflectors

Acrylic solvent aka ACRYSOL is good for that stuff... or you could try the carb cleaner from BG.....

Re: Water deflectors

Either the 3m stuff as mentioned before or the GooGone Gel shit works pretty well if you let it soak.

Who the fuk are you?.. Chuck Norris? lol

Anyway, they also sell a rubber wheel that takes that stuff off as well. This just an exapmple of what I'm talking about, but they make others that you can just simply attach to an drill, or grinder...

Re: Water deflectors

I had similar issues when I removed my cap and it had that gasket material stuck to my bed rails. I had to take it off with a fine fishing line then come back and get what was left and the glue residue off with acetone on a rag. Looks mint now!
