Re: washing engine?

I read a how to somewhere, maybe a link will get thrown up to it in a lil while.

I think it said to basically cover up any electrical wires, connections, or electrical devices. The person in the how to used aluminum foil. They then sprayed down with an engine degreaser when the engine was cooled down and warm to the touch, then hosed off. After its all washed off you can wipe down with a cloth and add some tire shine to the plastice pieces to make them shine like new.

Edit: I found it...

Re: washing engine?

I let mine get cool, cover up my coil ( thats the only thing I've ever covered, never had a problem yet.... ), spray the whole thing down with Greased Lightning's 'Orange Blast', scrub what I can with a stiff tire brush, rinse it off with my powerwasher, then spray it down with Meguiars NXT InsaneShin tire spray... rub that all in and let the motor idle for about 10 minutes to bake the shine on, then touch up where needed.

Works like a charm.

Re: washing engine?

You could spray your engine with WD40 to get rid of the aluminum "rust" which are those little white dots that form on your engine.

Spray it down
Let your engine run
Scrub it clean

Its gonna work very well... Now this is what my handy man land lord who has like 5 constructun trucks.

I think this is what happend to me, I was washing my truck, I took it for a spin around the block, turned it off then tryed to turn it back on and it hasn't started since. How do you fix that? I was thinking it was something with the battery or a shorted wire.
