Yup, shouldn't hurt as long as you don't let it sit forever and a day.

I've done it before and works well.

i think it depends on what kind of degreaser you have. if its just some purple power or something bought at the parts store it should be ok. but if it something like barsol(sp?) or some industrial strength sh1t, it might mess them up. i'm using some industrial strength degreaser to clean up a sanden compressor i'm working on and this stuff is strong. it will fvck up paint

Re: using a degreaser on wheels?

Sometimes, if you're not sure, it's best to get the wheel wet before applying the solution/degreaser to the wheel, and possibly work it in by hand, and then rinse the wheel AS SOON as you're done cleaning it. Also make sure the surface of the wheel is cool, and only do one wheel at a time.... you don't want a chemical sitting on your wheels, and working it's way into the clear coat, while you're still cleaning the first wheel.

Re: using a degreaser on wheels?

I get my degreasers from the dollar store.... they work GREAT! Also, take the center caps off when you clean them, and you'll be able to get all the cracks, and crevices better.
