Underhood aluminum cleaning
Hey guys,
I have 2000 bravada here in Washington State the truck came from Michigan which has a lot of shit on the roads in witner time. the aluminum under the hood (abs module, condenser etc..) have a whitish color tarnish on them, what can I clean them with, with out having to polish them? I also noticed some of the bolts and fastners have corrosion on them..............any info will help.. someone even told me to use coke cola and a fine wire brush.. |

i don't think you will get good results with anything short of some kind of sand blasting. though there probably is some kind of acid/cleaner that would fix them up.

sandpaper
the coating is some sort of natural thing with aluminum. I pull off the parts that look really bad and sand and paint/seal them. |
