Turtle Wax products SUCK!

I got a Turtle Wax car care kit for Xmas from my lil bro. Well the weather started getting nice again so I broke out the kit and went to town. The wheel cleaner that is "safe for all finishes" destroyed my stock wheels . Thank god I didnt have rims cause Id be pissed. Rest of the kit blows anyways. But IM pissed about my Swirls.. Theyre ruined. Any ideas on how to bring them back to life? I like havin them clean if they gotta be on there.

Meguire's scratch X took some stubborn ass water spots from my xtreme wheels. You could try that.

I don't think I've ever used Turtle Wax productsbefore, but really it's all opinions. What 10 guys say suck, there's another 10 that praise the same thing.

I had a bad problem with turtle wax's brand of scratch removal, sucks ass, dosent help and highlights the scratches in a red tint, went over it with meguiars car wax, best wax ever.

Re: Turtle Wax products SUCK!

werd it does suck, i got some rubbing compound to blend my paint a little it look me 5 hrs to get it to do anything! (non consecutive) and it still looks like shit. but still they suck ass, dont get me started with thier spray on waxes. Armor all sucks too.

side note: what should i use on my dash, i just dry dust it right now but it gets dusty again in like 3 days.

and try some scratch remover DONT use the KIT scratch remover shit its just as bad as turtle wax. i have a bottle of Nu-cote 2000 scratch remover, its old and i cant find it anywhere im runnin out! it works wonders, if u can find it get it.

Re: Turtle Wax products SUCK!

I used Turtle wax all-wheel cleaner on my aluminum Torq Thrust II's yesterday. I left it on my wheels for less time than the bottle said I could, and followed the directions. It bleached out my non-clearcoated wheels and left drips in them. I pollished and pollished and still have bleached spots in them. I had to use a flat sos pad on them to get the spots out because they had etched the wheels so much. --- I despritly need to find a Mother's Power ball to get the scratches out now. I bought some Mcguires wheel cleaner - that purple stuff and it's not as corrosive. I also bought some Mother's Billet pollish for $12 which works much better than Blue Magic and isn't as messy. --- For paint, I use Black Magic cream wax. Mother's makes a back to black pollish for outside plastic that I want to try.
