Truth being revealed?

There is a post on Autopia revealing the truth about a lot of products on the market that are only relabeled products.

For example, some are buying, lets say..., gallons of product for..., lets say $15 a gallon, then pouring them in a ..., lets say a 160z bottle and selling for about the same price of a whole gallon!!!

I am making no judgements, just passing on a link I thought was quite interesting.
As I mentioned earlier, there are very, very few actual chemical manufacturers for auto detailing products, yet 1,000's of labels.

That's why I use only mother's waxes n polishes! cause it's mothers!
It has a mother's can, Mother's is a company!
If I bought a can of carnauba for $40 and it smelled like mothers! it prolly would be, and I'd be pissed! but I don't so there.

We'll there are only so many companies that make chemicals.

I know for a fact that Zaino Clay Bars are the same as Mothers Clay bars as I have both sitting on my shelf full of detail stuff.
I'll stick with Zaino!

It's really sad how bad people can be. Anything to make a buck. It's just getting worse and worse.

That's why word of mouth and communication amongst product users is so critical. If 9 out of 10 people that have tried a product believe it's good and worth the money then you can feel pretty safe in stepping out of the box and trying that product. Knowledge is power...thank god for the Internet!
(although we all know you need to wade through the BS sometimes)

You are right

And for clay..., there are only 2 company's that are licensed to make clay-
Erazor
and
Auto Magic

If someone else is making it..., there are huge lawsuits that are hitting hard for the "clay pirates", LOL!!

Or you just have to pay the royalties in order to use the Clay technology... but then there's room for modifications from there. Anyone that has used a lot of different products will know and pick up on slight differences that can make the world of difference in some peoples eyes.
