Trim adhesive?
I took off my door/bed trim (the black belt stuff) a while ago and still have the outline on it. I havent seen anyone else who took it off that still has the outline on the forum. What do you guys use to get it off? I tried a clay bar but it didnt feel like it was working.

Re: Trim adhesive?
I got the glue off with a 3m eraser wheel, I just need to get rid of the outline/renegade glue that is still there.

Re: Trim adhesive?
No ideas? Think a buff job would get the outline out?

Re: Trim adhesive?
be more specific as to what you want to remove? is it emblem tape? adheasive, glue. a faded outline? your going to want to remove the black foam like tape with adhesive remover such as speedy 500. and the outline can be taken off with a little buffing. its nothing major. just have to have the right tools for the job.

Re: Trim adhesive?
The thousands of car washes I did and paid for because of the shitty Chicago winters took mine off.
There's a good adhesion remover that really took out the noticeability of the outline when I took my moulding off, I'll look for it in a few. It's on a site that actually sells plastic razorblades. They saved my thumbs. ![]() |
