Question tree sap?

Hey guys... the other day i washed my blazer and i noticed afterwards there are little spots about the size of fly poop or so... i think its may be tree sap, but its doesnt wipe off, its not gooey or anything....i tried to get it off with some meguiars quik detail (what i usually use to take water spots off) and that didnt work, but i can get it off if i lightly rub it with my finger. I;ve already got a decent wax coat down, my question is if i take mothers cleaner wax and try to get it off, will that strip my existing wax? will i have to go back and wax with my normal wax after i use the cleaner? also, the front "valence" or ground effect on my blazer is pretty scarred up from bugs and such that wont come off with normal washing... will a clay bar take care of that? thanks guys... i know you guys know what your doin when it comes to this stuff!!

Re: tree sap?

yeah a clay bar should take care of alot of that, just keep lots of lube on it.

Re: tree sap?

is there anything else you guys would recommend to use? like use the cleaner wax for the sap, or just clay bar everything?

Re: tree sap?

I would clay bar everything, then use cleaner wax, then use regular wax. Take all day on it and you wont be disapointed.Just rember, your results will reflect your effort. If you do it right, man that paint will feel SMOOOOTH

Oh, and brand name makes a difference here too. buy something good like mothers or meguires or something.

Re: tree sap?

Meguiars is only $9.99 and comes with the lube, available at Autozone.
Check K-Mart first though..., I picked several up for $6.99, including lube.
Remember, there are only 2 U.S. manufacturers for clay.
It will either be Clay Magic formula or Erazor formula..., so not rocket science there
