The good 'ole Post Your Engine Bay thread.

Yup, so I noticed that the Post Your Engine Bay thread was missing *guessing from the crash, was gone for a month or two when that happened* so here it is. Let's see those pretty engine bays ... or not so pretty in some cases. I'll pop a few shots tomarrow of mine. Need to get some before shots before the new motor anyways.

I got it at Lane Automotive in Watervliet MI, if you look at your carb from the top you will see it has a single threaded hole for a single bolt. I don't remember if the bolt came with it or if I had to buy it seperate. And thanks for the compliment!

i would do it. its decently worth it. on mine all i do is warm the engine up a little bit then spray it down, and detail it. just try to keep the pressure washer or water jet way from the computer. then shine it up.

Is that chromed or polished?

I cant even imagine how much work that would have been if its polished.

Re: The good 'ole Post Your Engine Bay thread.

It is polished/buffed. Several folks on syty.net wanted to know how it was done so I did a "how to" write up last year.

Re: The good 'ole Post Your Engine Bay thread.

You wont hurt the computer, they have seals on the harnesses, but I would keep the engine running anyways.

I never keep it running.

I warm it up to soften the grease, but then shut it off.
Just my preference.
