taking out scratches from painted dash
can i safely use rubbing compound?

i would think so, but dont put alot of presure on the dash if it is flexible it could crack the clearcoat

depends. i doubt you have much of a clear built up, especially if you did spray paint, so you would have to use a really mild rubbing compound
