Re: Swirl Marks Gone...THANK GOD FOR NANO WAX!!! PIC ALSO!!!

did you really need to be holding the ball for that picture? :P

lol. thats good to hear though, but with any wax, it will be pretty short lived (or so i imagine). nano wax never seems to last that long on my truck.

NANO WAX - Contains a Polish in it....

I personally tried nano wax, once.. I still have the rest of the bottle.. It's wierd, its like you have to scrub at it to get it off when it hazes up... Yeah, it did cover up the swirl marks for a little while longer than just a straight wax.. But they sure enough came back..

My last test was 2 differant compounds, TurtleWax Polishing compound (liquid).. and then a wax.. Did both at the same time, at around midnight.. I like to wash my truck, and detail it in the middle of the night, no sunlight to mess anything up..

SO far, it's holding up pretty damn good. Swirl marks haven't made their way back.. Yet. We'll see how long it holds up, it's been almost a week.. Hopfully it lasts for like a month before they come back If not, i'm going to try that zaino stuff over the winter.. See if it realy holds up to its name.

Re: Swirl Marks Gone...THANK GOD FOR NANO WAX!!! PIC ALSO!!!

I'm sure if nanowax has any kinda of polish in it, it is pretty mild. Probably more of a cleaner wax with some fillers in it that hide swirls rather than polishes them out, so if you wash it alot or have alot of rain it won't last very long. Looks good though.

Re: Swirl Marks Gone...THANK GOD FOR NANO WAX!!! PIC ALSO!!!

I liked Nano wax the first time I used, eventhough it took about an hour, maybe longer, to finish, but it did look good. But, after a couple rainshowers, it looks like the polish is streaking down my truck. I heard that professional hand glaze is good, but I just need to find it.

Re: Swirl Marks Gone...THANK GOD FOR NANO WAX!!! PIC ALSO!!!

that stuff is made for the consumer so it doesnt last that long and doesnt provide any shine what so ever. A wax WILL NEVER GIVE THE PAINT A GLOSS TO IT NO MATTER WHAT THE BOTTLE SAYS. A glaze hides and fill in the swirls so you believe there gone, but after a few rain showers they appear again. A pure polish is what puts the oils back into the paint giving it a magnificant shine. Check out some of these photos from recent details I have done.

Re: Swirl Marks Gone...THANK GOD FOR NANO WAX!!! PIC ALSO!!!

my roommate Nanowaxed his car the same day I three stepped mine. IMO, mine came out way better than his, and my truck is 6 years older than his car. I wish i had a damn digital camera so i could show yall the picture. I suggest if yall haven't ever 3 stepped and your truck is at least 2 years old, you do it..It makes a helluva difference..Sure it takes a while, but it's worth it.....

Hey, it's the weekend right now..GET THE HELL OUT THERE AND 3 STEP THAT SUMB!TCH!!!!!!!!! What've ya got to lose? It'll cost you less than $25..and it might even give you a hardon afterwards....hehehe..nevermind that last part

I've been looking over your links here and on the Autopia forum you are also on. I must say, you do the best work out there I have ever seen!!! I am in no way experienced , so please, pardon my dumb question on the subject:

What is the best combo of polish and wax for a silver blazer that will last the longest. I would much rather spend a day and several coats if it would last 6 months or more. -Thanks
