Cut polish I here works good...all I do is wax the hell out of it and it keeps it shiny enough that the swirl marks don't bother me!!

I no your pain, I also have a black truck. I know you don't want to do this but buffing is allot easier. Use a good amount of wax, get a yellow wool pad and go really slow with it, RPMs and movement, then buff with a foam black pad slowly, and then hand wax in small circles. I haven' tried allot of hand products, but they will make the swirls dissappear for a few washs, but will prob come back. Let me know if you have any other questions

swirl marks

swirls marks are actually cut through the micro mills in your paint. before using any products clay bar the vehicle to get back to close as the original surface as possible. THE ONLY WAY TO REMOVE SWIRL MARKS PERFECT IS BY THE SPEED OF A HIGH SPEED BUFFER RUNNING AT AROUND A FEW THOUSAND RPM;s. the downfall if your not experinced the swirls makrs will be removed with the paint as well. So you want to get the marks out as best of possible and just not cover them up. here is what u do!

clay bar the areas that have the swirls makrs. apply and application of meguiars scracth x and remove before it dries. apply 2-3 coats depending on how bad the swirls are. follow by a polish and then a wax. then stand back and look at the results and be happy. but ur hands will hurt from the rubbing. dont want to remove your paint, or hurt your hand? go to the store and buy a ORBITAL buffer for a cheap price, k mart, walmart etc. this mimicks ur hand motion so dont worry it wont do anything except save u time and ur arm strength.

thanx. this is gonna be some work cause my whole truck is like that. i bought it used and it's been like that since i bought it. it really gets on my nerves. but one day when there's no snow ill wash and try the clay bar. what's better to use the stuff they give you with the bar or just soap and water?

no it is better to just the lubricant as it is helps the surface more and it is not as messy.
