suede dash

i searched and didnt find anything in this section about suede. sorry if i missed a thread or something.... anyway... i want to cover my dash in white faux suede. i assumed faux suede would be close to the texture of real suede and would be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. turns out that faux suede is more like cotton or something, not leathery at all. my question is how should/would i go about cleaning the dash if its covered in this? we all know there is a lot of dust that collects on the dash and with this being white its gonna get real dirty real quick. should i just take a vac to it or what are my options?

thanks

Re: suede dash

So is it like alcantara?

If so, I'd suggest general upkeep of just a damp mf cloth like you suggested. Then just lightly brush it after its dry w/ a sof bristled brush

Re: suede dash

alcantara? never heard of that. the material is soft liek real suede is but doesnt have the same leathery feel to it. its similar to the cloth used on the stock door panels, if thats any help.

Re: suede dash

yeah, its a daily. the truck is dark blue so i figured white would look great with dark blue interior to match the outside... someday i would like to paint it orange but that could be a long way away.
