Re: Spilled Vinegar On Carpet?!!

the problem is it is in the sound deadner not the carpet. maybe tryin shampooing the area, but you will prolly have to pull the carpet and deadner out and pressure wash them. orrr you could just spray febreeze every couple days.

Thanks man. Its just a little spot where the rear floor mat would go. Right behind the drivers seat. Also why im here, is there anyway to fix a hole in a carpet. Like a hole from womens heels near the gas pedal? No i dont wear heels my gf does lol

Re: Spilled Vinegar On Carpet?!!

theres this powder stuff you buy that you sprinkle on your carpet and over time it will absorb the smell. worked when my dog got sprayed by a skunk and got into the house!

Re: Spilled Vinegar On Carpet?!!

Was the baking soda dry when you put it on the floor? If so, you need to moisten the vinegar smelling area with water, and add a SOLUTION of baking soda to it. Let it sit for say 15 mins or so, then sop up most of the moisture, wash the area with fresh water, sop that up, pat dry with a clean dry rag, then vacuum the rest to dryness. You need to have two solutions reacting with each other for the complete neutralization reaction to occur. If a little residual acetate smell remains, just use plain water, pat dry, then vacuum. Hope it helps.
