Spend to much money at the car wash?
I spend to much money at the car wash so I decided to look into pressure washers. Couldnt find a good pressure washer in my price range so I decided to build one. Reason being I had most of the parts sitting around in the garage so I bought the rest of the parts needed and bought a 5hp electric 220 motor. Needless to say its a little better than most car washes around here and I also set it up to feed in soap too. Oh ya the frame is getto cause I tore apart a dolly and welded it back together. You can tell I dont have good welding skills but I did the job.

Re: Spend to much money at the car wash?
well 5hp220 electric motor cost 100 bucks new , It has a hawk pump that came off of a hotsey pressure washer that I looked up and was around 600 new. This one is used though, givin to me, the fittings and paint stuff like that cant give ya price but prolly 15 buck together, The wand was free at your local car wash in the middle night sale, The goodyear high pressure 50ft hose cost 60 bucks but I got it for 20 cause I switched price tags around. I wouldnt suggest doing that unless the cashier is stupid in this case. So I spent prolly under 200 all together. The thing is this toy is biult from misc parts so I dont know what you could get new for the same performance. Its pushing somewhere in 15-1700psi and this is not drawing much amps from the electric motor, and the pump turned down low. I can imagine you can get a good pressure washer gas or electric similar for 4-600 dallors somewhere.
