something to remove nasty grease

i stepped on a cv boot in my garage and i guess got nasty old grease on my shoe. got in my truck and a few days later noticed a stain on my carpet. i have light tan carpet. no good. it seams all dried up. i want to remove it. what do yall suggest to try to remove it. if all else fails my warranty covers stains that i cant get out. the dealer will try and if they cant they will replace it. so maybe new carpet. but ill do it if i can. what do yall think will work?
