single stage and clay bar???
I have a quick question, I have not really been able to find an answer, but is a clay bar kit safe or good to do on a single stage paint? Any benefit or purpose? I keep reading that it will clean all sorts of junk off the clear coat...but my truck is just a single stage paint...Any kit people prefer and types of wax that are safe for single stage paint would be greatly appreciated.

Re: single stage and clay bar???
I used to work for a guy that had a '49 studebaker pickup, It was rodder w/a 383. pretty bad ass.... anyhew it was single staged. I would use a Meguiars Mild Bar on it and then wax it with Meguiars at least 4 times a summer. It always looked great when done. That was 5 years ago, and it still looks awesome! Single Stage paint does not have much depth but is is more durable then base, hands done!!

Yep, you'll be fine. As for wax, whatever one you like. No special wax for SS paint.

Re: single stage and clay bar???
Just to add to the agreeingness in here, yes it's fine. I've done my 70 Chevelle(with original paint) a few times.
