Cool shiny wet lookin tires

kae i was detailing my truck this afternoon...did all the other stuff..
and i went to start on the tires... well i have um the spray stuff...blackhawk, black something brand..it works very well...
um im wonderin..how the hell do u keep the stuff from goin on the fenders and stuff..cuz i dont think it's good for the paint and shit...so yea..i would spray the tires and some would end up on the fender, side skirts etc...so i decided to just spray on a rag and wipe the tires...they're shiny and stuff but they dont have the wet look that i want...what should i do? lol thanks guys

I have good results with the Black Magic tire foam...just let it dry good (at least 15 minutes) and then you're good to go...it won't fly off all over the truck.

i used to use that..but i wanted to try something else..yea the foam worked hella good but it would still splash or fly on the painted area(fender, side skirts) around the tires...then wen u wipe em off..they leave this oily film...

Hmm i like to use meguiars high gloss hot shine tire spray the sprayer is adjustible to wide medium narrow it gives tires a nice wet look for weeks about 5 bucks a can it works great with no messy foam i always make sure to wipe off any over spray off the rims i like to wax my rims as well it takes me about 2 to 3 hours to properly detail my ride and i never run it throuh atomatic car washes i know for a fact ppl run there rust buckets throuh them then the rust sticks to the cleaning brushes thats how ya get scraches and one more thing double park whenever posible lol!

I like the Meguiar's gel. Go to www.meguiars.com and put in part number G-7516. You wipe it on with an applicator. Lasts for weeks, even after rain.

That's what I use but I put it on with a sponge, let it sit overnight and wipe the tires off the next day.

hey, what I do is use the black ______ to shine the tires but I found that at wal-mart you can get these special tire foam sponge things. What you do is you go and spray the tire shine on the special sponge then wipe it on the tire (the sponge is in the shape of the tire) This works awesome as it does not get on your body or the rims, but it applies the tire wet stuff very liberaly. You get 2 reusable special spoges for about $1.50

another way u can prevent it from flying off the tire is by letting it dry in the sun. i have done that and nothing came off the tire.

shiny tires

first scrub those tires down with some bleach white whitewall cleaner. Then u can get some of Meguairs new adjustable 3 pray pattern mist. very well and u can adjust the flow. Or you can get there meguairs paste. this stuff will keep ur tires black for liek after a month after it rains. stuff is good, but both are expensive. plus u want to dress ur wheel wells that makes a nice look. But do it wil a rag and all caus like u said it can get on the side skirts. if u polish and protect ur paint, do ur dressing before hand.

I use Wet & Protect 2000. It's a spray but lasts a coupole of weeks and only takes about 5 min to dry. It costs about 5 bucks at O'rielys but it is a massive can.

Re: shiny wet lookin tires

The Mequiers long lasting gel works awsome. You put it on the foam applicators that they sell at Wal Mart & they are shaped like the outside of the tire. Stuff works great. It can get dusty sometimes at the downtown parking garage. If this happens then I just spray a little 2001 on a rag & lightly wipe it around the tire. It just wipes off the dust & makes the mequires bring out its high gloss.

auto zone sells these foam applicators for tire gel. they are yellow and black. they have a curve in them to contour to the tire, so you dont get shit everywhere.

Re: shiny wet lookin tires

I like to use NO TOUCH WET & PROTECT...works great. I have yet to find a product that does not spray onto the fenders no matter how long you let it sit/dry, but this one is pretty damn good.
