Selling car...tips

Well I am going to try to sell my car. I was wondering what are some easy and inexpensive tips to detail my car before I sell it. Its a 2002, though it has 97,000 on it. There is some chips in the hood, but the previous owner touched them up with paint from the dealership. Good wash, scrub carpets, armorall the interior...?

Wash all the crevises that you would not normally think of, also wash underneath. armorall the engine compartment. Clean completly under the seats.

yea i mean it just depends on the time and money you want to put into it, and how good of care you have taken in the past, i mean if you always cleaned it and tried to keep it nice a buffing might not be necessary, but if you have a lot of swirl marks or scratches, a good buff job would do wonders

Re: Selling car...tips

use an allpurpose cleaner for the interior, making sure to get into all of the cracks and in the air vents, blow them out with air(compressor). don't use armorall at all, once you start using it you cannot stop because it will dry out the dash and crack. there is a spray that comes in an arosol can that is called "detailer" and it works really well, givens it a nice shine(make sure to wipe the excess off). scrub the carpets with household carpet cleaner w/a little water. vaccum the excess up.

for the outside: wash, wax tire shine. if the clear coat has tiny little scratchs or oxidation, then it would be worth it to have someone buff it, it will make it look 100 times better. then wax after the buff

Make sure that if you're actually going to sell your car, deliver the car after you get paid. I wouldn't even buy a fuse from you!
